Remote notarization requires a paper document. Electronic signatures and fully electronic documents are not accepted in Connecticut. If you are outside Connecticut, the document must have a connection to Connecticut. Contact us if you are not sure your document qualifies.

Can I have a document notarized remotely by video?
Yes, for many documents. You sign the paper original in ink during a live video call, then mail it to us to complete the notarization. Wills, trusts, real estate closing documents, health care directives, standby guardianship documents, and powers of attorney cannot be done remotely.
Do you come to my home?
Yes. That's the convenience of a mobile notary. We can arrange to meet you at your home or another mutually agreed location.
What identification do I need?
A signer generally needs acceptable identification. Please contact us before your appointment if you are unsure whether your identification will meet the requirements.
Do I need to sign my document before the notary arrives?
Do not sign documents in advance unless you have been specifically instructed to do so. Some documents must be signed in the notary's presence.
Can you notarize legal documents?
Yes, provided the document and circumstances meet the requirements for notarization. A notary does not provide legal advice or determine whether a document is legally appropriate.
Can you notarize documents at a hospital or nursing home?
Yes, mobile appointments may be available at hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other care facilities.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Appointments outside standard business hours may be available depending on scheduling and location.
